"ZOOPLANKTON; A NECESSITY TO HUMANITY AND THE AQUATIC ENVIRONMENT"
The event which was held on the 21st of June 2018 at the Akin-Deko auditorium of the great University Of Benin witnessed a large crowd of dignitaries drawn from within and outside the academic institution which included the DVC Administration; Prof J.O. Ehiorobo, DVC Academics; Prof. P.E. Iribhogbe, Reps. of the Registrar, the Librarian, the Bursar, Deans of various Faculties, students, family and friends of the professor.
She amazed the seated guests with her love for the electron microscope during her PHD days. As she spoke delightedly about her research work and findings, more guests and students trooped in to grace the auspicious occasion. While she spoke unequivocally about the “ecology and the necessity of the zooplankton”, the audience applauded with great joy. Some of her students who were with their textbooks nodded with smiles of confirmation as she spoke .As the event unfolded, she nick-named herself “UNIBEN JONAH” which made the crowd thrilled.
While the acknowledgement speech was given, the crowd cheered as she recognized certain personnel’s within and outside the department. It was a short but very exciting and educative lecture. At the end, the crowd stood up to applaud her while she was being decorated by the DVC academics.
